Gary Modlish - Gary portrays Smudge in Forever Plaid. Gary sang his first solo when he was 4 years old in the Upstate New York church where his father was pastor and his mother was the church pianist. She accompanied him on a rendition of the wonderful old hymn “No, Never Alone” and from that moment on Gary was hooked. While a student at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, Gary received a full music scholarship to sing with the “The Sounds of Liberty” – the premier public relations ensemble for the school. The group traveled worldwide and was featured regularly on TV’s “Old Time Gospel Hour”. Gary was privileged to appear in Liberty productions including Oklahoma (Ike Skidmore), Annie (Bert Healy), and The Music Man (Harold Hill). After college, Gary spent the next ten years in the corporate arena working for well-known companies such as Coca-Cola and PeopleSoft, while continuing to sing as a soloist/worship leader at Buckhead Community Church in Atlanta, First Baptist Church in Woodstock, and Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX. In 2002, Gary refocused his attention to pursue additional acting opportunities and has since been featured in various commercials, industrial/educational films, and print ads representing products and companies such as American Airlines, Six Flags, Yamaha, Comcast, The Dollar Twins and Rockbridge Bank. Gary has been married to his best friend and greatest supporter, Yvette, for almost twelve years.
